A wise woman once said: “F*ck this sh#t.”
And she lived happily ever after.

Where are you sitting right now?
What frustration has caused you to open Facebook and mindlessly scroll away?

If you are anything like me, you strive to always do the right thing.
You need to have a purposeful plan (from which I will definitely deviate).
You must milk every minute of every udder of every day.
You’re striving to be the best you.

I’m so tired of fighting.
I’m sick of forcing.
It’s just not worth it.
Life is too flipping short for fighting!

Last year I began to learn to
LET GO OF MONEY
I learned to buy what I want, not simply what is the cheapest.
I realized that it’s okay to spoil myself, not just other people.
I discovered that by trying so hard to be a good steward of my funds, I was giving money control over my life.

This year I am learning to
LET GO OF TIME
Sitting down to meditate for 11 minutes can add hours to your day.
A little time spent committing your plans to God, can add weeks.
Slow down.
Take time for the little things.
Actually talk and listen to people.
Watch the sunset.
Pamper yourself.

The same goes with what you look like.
LET GO OF OUTWARD APPEARANCE.
It’s what’s on the inside that counts.
You are you, no matter how squishy the outward coating.

I haven’t had a mirror in years.
Now I’m living in an apartment decorated with them.
It doesn’t help that I moved here from a land of uninsulated ice where my caring neighbours kept me alive with a never-ending delicious feast of culinary goodness.
I’m still learning to smile back at the mirrors.

LET GO OF CONTROL
When you try and force things to happen, they just don’t.
It’s not exactly science, but it’s true!
Ride the rollercoaster that is life squealing with joy!

LET GO OF FUTURE PLANS
I think Corona has taught the entire planet this lesson.
Actually, if someone would start selling Corona-proof plans, they’d be rich!!!

LET GO OF TOXIC PEOPLE

LET GO OF WORRY

HOLD ON TO LOVE, HOPE, PEACE, JOY, and coffee.
When you spill coffee somebody always gets burned.

You are beautiful the way you are.
You will always have enough.
You are exactly where you are meant to be.

I am learning to let go of the reigns and let life flow like a river instead of building damned dams.
I’m learning to LET GO!

Live your best life. Don’t force it.

Duffs, I know God has both perfect timing and a very strange sense of humour! The way you guys came into my life at just the right moment is the stuff fairytale movies are based on! Thank you for transforming my life and for being you! <3

Totally agree by far the best travel experiences are when I let go of the “bubble” and connect with other folks. That doesn’t happen when you trust your life to a hotel concierge or a tour guide. That’s what I do now.

I can hardly wait—returning to sailing again in a few days.

Life is best lived under the stars in the sky, not watching the ones on tv.

This time I’m living on a big enough boat to make it more welcoming to others who normally wouldn’t go where I do to see what it’s like, but I promise to not use it as a way to isolate myself from where I am.
