\nleast the last seven of them). I\u2019d woken up far too early for my liking, had a
\npretend-to-be-nutritious fake yoghurt (pronounced \u201cyow-gurt\u201d for those of you
\nwho continue to pronounce it incorrectly), jumped in the shower, and sped off
\nto work. I was early too; so I seized the moment and some super glue and I
\nstuck my badly abused running shoes back together. I sipped a delicious cup of
\ncoffeeish liquid as I forced the balls of my feet into the ground while the
\nglue dried.<\/div>\n

\nas I moved I discovered my folly. My left shoe had allegedly been ripped right
\nthrough, so as I had filled the gap with super glue (and quite a lot of it), it
\nhad gushed in, seeped through my sock and coated the ball of my foot. And it
\nwas good superglue.<\/div>\n

\nI spent the day trying desperately to free my foot – I tried
\nswinging through the trees, I tried force, I tried to steam a kettle under it
\nto get it free, I tried to free it with a pen. I tried to free it with a ruler
\nand then work got too busy so I stopped trying to free it and hoped that with
\nenough running back and forth my foot would naturally free itself.<\/div>\n
